Yeah, I'm one of those. A writer. I write. A lot. Sometimes for hobby, sometimes in fandom, sometimes for money with the horrifying deadlines of hell looming over my head. I love it though. At its core, writing is a way to pass the time, a catharsis of emotions I never quite dealt with.

So who am I? I'm still figuring that out. I can tell you that I'm a girl that loves writing, reading, pretending to have it all figured out while she wallows in the depths of life ennui. I love angry chick music no matter how much boyfriends of the past have tried to sway me away from it, but also have a fetish for pop music and guys with guitars. I love movies, watching them over and over, memorizing lines of dialogue, and hoping one day that someone does that with one of my scripts. And I have an obsession with my TIVO, allowing it tape hours upon hours of television that surely keep me from having much of life, but allot me with lots to talk about.

I aspire to find a smidge of the greatness of Aaron Sorkin, Joss Whedon, and Kevin Smith within myself.

I use this journal for my fandom-related/writing sort of things. I figure it's easier than lumping the tedious day-to-day recounting of events in with this--that way those that like the fandom side of me, can use this journal, and those voyeuristic sorts that like to hear about how I chopped off all my hair in a fit of boredom can continue to peruse my regular journal...heck, if you like both, well, that's almost astounding.

My Friending Philosophy: As far as friending goes, I mean no intrusion to anyone I friend. I simply found you interesting. Feel free to friend back if you like or peruse as you like. I do not expect someone to friend me simply because I friend them. Everyone has a life (or so I hope) outside of the Internet and specifically livejournal. I realize things like time constraints and disinterest do occur. If I've friended you and that's a problem, just drop me a comment/email/etc and I'll remove you from my list. Also, I tend to friend people back here if we have things in common (if you're already friended from my personal journal, I probably won't friend you back here - since personal is friends only and this isn't and I only want to read a journal once really!) and if not, well defriend me or keep reading (I don't friend's lock here). I don't care either way. I'm a very "whatever" type of girl so friend, defriend, comment on how mundane I am...it's all good.

-quillandink - Writing community for pimping challenges, contests, etc. I do a weekly list of writing exercises and current challenges that I'm aware of. For both fanfiction and original.

-polyfandomrecs - The place where iamtheenemy and I put all our great reading finds in many various fandoms.

-moviefanfiction - A community for writing/reading/posting fanfiction based on movies.

-movie_aus - A community for writing/reading/posting AU fanfiction based around a movie. For example, starring the cast of Supernatural in The Breakfast Club.

-spnhugathon - For Supernatural fandom. The Winchesters *REALLY* need to hug. This community is for writing hugging fic.

-thefandomnine - Based loosely off the television show, The Nine, come write/read stories where nine fandom characters are thrown together into life-or-death situations.

-rec50 - Ongoing rec community set up in the fashion of all the writing 100 prompt communities, except you rec your favorite stories for any character, pairing, show.

-shallowbookfun - Community for readers who don't want to have to do literary criticisms or take part in required book club readings. Just a place to share favorite books, favorite characters, and/or look for good books. The no pressure, no thought required book community!

-what_if_writing - Writing challenge community. Every two weeks a new "what if?" type prompt is posted. Multifandom and/or original fic welcome.

-transienttimes - The neverending Emmy story collaboration with iamentheos, featuring Orlando Bloom, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, and Elijah Wood...plus whoever else we decide to crush on at any given time.

-thatabbotgirl - My own original character's journal. A writing experiment about a teen growing up in Philadelphia.
